Granny Do Goes to Washington

DOCUMENTARY SHORT

Granny D Goes to Washington

Director: Alidra Solday
Filmmaker in person
At the age of 89, a New Hampshire great grandmother, Doris Haddock, affectionately known as Granny D, undertook a yearlong 3,200 mile walk form Pasadena, California to Washington, D.C. to ignite public attention around the need for reform of America's campaign finance laws. GRANNY D is an entertaining and inspirational chronicle of her extraordinary story. "Campaign finance reform may not have a sexy ring to it," says Granny D, "but when I talk to people about
getting illegal money out of the system they all say:  I'm for THAT!  We are losing our democracy and something must be done." (2006, 26 min.)
